Historical monuments and old residences often require authentic and ornamental locksmithing for their restoration or replication. From the robust ironwork of the Medieval era, through the elegant scrollwork and foliage of the 18th century’s golden age of locksmithing, to the intricate orb patterns and stamped Renaissance designs, blacksmiths and locksmiths have always infused their work with the ornamental styles of their time.

We offer in our Collection , a diverse range of models, including replicas based on surveys from the Historic Monuments Research Center and various collections, to preserve this heritage and reflect the past's spirit. Additionally, much of our work is custom-made from existing parts, plans, drawings, or photos.

Our expertise in period locksmithing and traditional techniques is highly valued by restoration professionals and both public and private owners, showcasing our commitment to preserving historical craftsmanship.

Heritage and Ironwork

Our story

We are a family-owned business founded in the year 2000 under the name Nhat Tan, and we have processed orders for Les Forges de Signa for over 20 years, with our collaborator Bertrand Mace de Gastines also being a co-founder of Les Forges de Signa.

We have spent these two decades working with and supplying many renowned historic monuments through Les Forges de Signa, including palaces, castles, cathedrals, churches, and manor houses from various eras. Our projects span both the public and private sectors throughout France.

Having changed our name to Minh Tan following Bertrand's passing and the retirement of Les Forges de Signa, the business is now continued by Bertrand's wife and founder Rose Mace de Gastines (Nguyen Thi Anh Hong), as well as her daughter Nguyen Nhat Vy and their son Edouard Mace de Gastines.
